TORONTO — The Canadian University Sports Network is proud to announce the launch of its new online radio platform CUSN Radio, including its flagship station, CUSN Radio 1.

CUSN Radio will be the platform on which we broadcast any live events, including live game broadcasts, preview and post game shows, and more,” said CUSN Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Adam Jenkins.

“CUSN has seen tremendous success with the spread of webcasting games across Canada, providing fans of Canadian University Sports great access to games with live video from Coast to Coast,” adds Jenkins. “With the creation of CUSN Radio, we hope to expand that reach and access, and provide an easier, more cost-effective way for schools to broadcast their games, especially for sports that receive less attention and funding. CUSN Radio is also a great way to add more coverage of some of the biggest events in the Canadian University Sports landscape.

“As someone who is looking to establish themselves as a play-by-play commentator, the opportunity to call any kind of sporting event over any platform is a great opportunity,” adds CUSN Men’s Hockey Insider, Victor Findlay. “The ability to call games over internet radio also gives us the chance to extend the reach of U SPORTS athletics even further than before.”

CUSN Radio 1 will be piloted tonight at the Critelli Cup, the OUA women’s basketball provincial championship, at Queen’s University.

Adam Jenkins will have the call on the inaugural broadcast beginning at 5:50 PM EST when the hometown Queen’s Gaels host the #4 Windsor Lancers. You can catch the stream by clicking here, and you can join the live chat on Mixlr and all of our social media channels using the hashtag #CUSNCritelli.
